Responsibilities:

• With the support from the Provincial Health Data and Digital Service (PHDDS) Team, and working in partnership with the Data for Connected Health Data Governance and Health System Data Services Information and Analytics Governance and Privacy teams, propose and implement a data and information stewardship model.
•  To effectively define a stewardship model aligned to the organizations data management practices and structure, conduct a comprehensive current state analysis of data governance, information management and other relevant policies and practices.
• Inform on enterprise data and information governance artifacts such as framework, roadmap, and templates.
• Utilize the Ontario Health Data Council recommended data management frameworks and stewardship model for inputs.
• Provides data management subject matter expertise and assistance in their field.

Must haves:

• Minimum 6 years’ experience of providing data/analytics governance or data/information asset management expertise to enterprise level project or programs.
• Experience in implementing scalable data management practices based on enterprise level data strategy with multiple project managers and associated matrix team members. Demonstrated experience translating strategic expectations and translating into program deliverables and reporting.
• Experience in articulating data management practices to benefit business projects or programs ranging from Directors to data analysts.
• In-depth knowledge of data/information management or stewardship model(s) best scalable practices across broad sectors and in context of broad data & information governance functions.
• Experience analyzing program and organization’s environments to identify potential risks and issues; experience articulating and prioritizing issues and risks to senior executives; recommends mitigation strategies to decision-makers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule.
•  Experience influencing, negotiating and building positive relationships within the team and external parties.

• Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of deliverables specified above

• Analyzes data management and governance requirements, giving independent and objective advice on the use of data governance
• Designs, tests, installs and monitors new systems and develops solutions and implementation of new systems
• Familiar with change-management principles and methodology
• Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices
