NOTE: Hybrid role (3 days in Toronto office, 2 days remote)

ROLE: Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, National Capex Controls, the Senior BI Analyst will play a pivotal role on the National Capex Controls team within PMO Governance and Controls. The successful candidate will work closely with a high performing and technologically driven team and will be responsible for the development and maintenance of business intelligence tools supporting the Access Networks Engineering and Operations (“ANEO”) Business Unit.

What you’ll be doing:

•Oversee business intelligence tools within the National Capex Controls team
•Create and maintain a document repository for user documentation, illustrations, and guidelines
•Develop, automate, and maintain complex Power BI dataflows, data warehouses, reports, and dashboards to provide meaningful insights to senior leadership
•Perform day-to-day general administration on Power BI service and act as administrator of the team’s Power BI and SharePoint workspaces
•Maintain data warehouse and apply industry best practices to improve existing structures as required
•Work with SharePoint & Oracle Financial Systems (Oracle Fusion, OTBI, Smartview/Essbase) to extract and automate data flows and data storage
•Analyze large financial datasets and gather an in-depth knowledge of the department's CAPEX portfolio
•Design & develop workflow processes and tools/systems that allow the team to achieve greater efficiency
•Support the manager with capital spend reporting packages, business cases, presentations, and ad hoc analysis

MUST HAVE:

•Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
•University Degree in computer science, computer engineering, economics, or related field
•Advanced knowledge of Power BI (DAX), and Power Query M Formula Language, Power FX, Typescript
•Proficient with Office 365 suite of products with an emphasis on Excel & VBA and MS Power Platform.
•Ability to work with large datasets and handle multiple priorities
•Autonomous self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively
•Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

NICE TO HAVE:
•Proficient working knowledge of programming languages for the purposes of visualizations such as Python or R would be considered an asset
•Previous work experience with financial data would be considered an asset
