NOTE: Travelling within Kootenays region (To re-establish the ability to operate and maintain the Rogers Wireless network for its customers in the south east portion of the province of British Columbia)

ROLE: Telecommunications Specialist

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Processing and auditing company's telecommunications invoices
• Performing wireless device monitoring and administration
• Interacting with vendors
• Performing tower structural analysis for placement of antennas
• Overseeing and leading construction of communications facilities
• Coordinating with other departments as they may relate to telecommunications division or a project;
• Troubleshooting of equipments when they go faulty.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Travelling within Kootenays region
• Available to work flexible hours (i.e. Weekends, nights)
• Bachelor’s degree in electronics or telecommunications engineering or related experience
• Prior experience in a related field is always a plus.
• A certification in the area of telecommunications or experience working with an international telecom company

NICE TO HAVE:
• Have their own off road vehicle to drive though remote adverse conditions and mountainous areas (however, vehicle will be provided by Rogers if required)
• Offroading hobbies (i.e. Snowmobiling, etc) as this role will require the contractor to go into the wildnerness independently and be comfortable with it
• Comfortable with helicopter travel
• First aid skills (but will be trained)
