Junior Accounts Payable Associates 
4 Days a week on site- Halifax
3 month contract

The opportunity

• We are looking for Junior Accounts Payable Associates to join our client’s finance team in Halifax. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a business or accounting background to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. Training will be provided by experienced team members.

What you will do:

• Process and verify vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
• Assist with payment runs and reconciliations.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Support the team with ad hoc finance tasks as required.

Your qualifications:

• Prior experience in accounting, finance, or controllership functions.
• Business Degree with a focus on Accounting or Finance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts if required.

Nice to haves: 

• Professional designation (CPA, CIA) or working toward one is an asset (including equivalent international designations).
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion is preferred.
