This is a rare opportunity to lead a growing practice, shape strategy, and directly influence client outcomes while working alongside a highly respected team of senior professionals.

As the Business Unit Leader, you will oversee client delivery, business development, team leadership, and P&L management for your practice area. You will be entrusted to expand the unit’s market presence, develop service offerings, and mentor top talent.

  • Practice Management – Lead, grow, and manage all aspects of the business unit, including P&L responsibility.

  • Client Engagement – Act as the senior point of contact for high-profile clients, delivering exceptional advisory services in valuations and related areas.

  • Business Development – Build and maintain relationships with referral sources, industry partners, and prospective clients to expand the unit’s reach.

  • Talent Development – Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier professionals within the team.

  • Thought Leadership – Represent TDB Advisory at industry events, contribute to publications, and position the firm as a leader in valuations and advisory.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in valuations, corporate finance, or related financial advisory services.

  • Proven business unit or practice leadership experience, ideally in a mid-market or entrepreneurial professional services environment.

  • Strong business development track record with the ability to attract and retain clients.

  • Professional designation such as LITCBV, CPA, CFA, or equivalent.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence at the executive and board levels.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work autonomously and drive results without bureaucracy.

Why this position could be for you?

  • Lead your own business unit with full autonomy and resources to succeed.

  • Collaborate with a high-calibre team in an entrepreneurial culture.

  • Direct impact on strategy, growth, and client success.

  • Competitive compensation package, including performance incentives.

  • Hybrid work environment for flexibility and work-life balance.
