Integration Engineer

Location: 100% Remote (Canada)
Duration: 6-12+ Months (Depending upon business needs)

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Integration Engineer to provide B2B integration solutions using cutting-edge integration technologies, trading networks, Java, and portal-based technologies. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated, enthusiastic, and results-oriented professional to implement innovative, scalable integration solutions that simplify supply chain integration and enable seamless trading capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design & Implementation: Drive optimal solution design in collaboration with architects, application developers, and cross-functional teams

  • Integration Development: Develop and implement scalable, high-performing integrations across multiple projects simultaneously

  • Quality Assurance: Work with operations and support teams to ensure high-quality production systems

  • Project Delivery: Contribute to successful and timely delivery of high-quality supply chain data solutions as a key member of professional services teams

  • Workflow Development: Build and test high-quality B2B supply chain system integration workflows in collaboration with Business Analysts

  • Standards Compliance: Ensure all integration implementation and documentation standards are adhered to

  • Technical Collaboration: Work with client technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve integration issues during end-to-end testing

  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in organizational improvement efforts by contributing experience and innovative ideas

Required Skills & Experience

Core Technical Requirements:

  • 5+ years of IT experience in B2B systems integration environment

  • 5+ years of solid XSLT experience for immediate productivity with data transformations

  • Integration Platforms: Extensive experience with platforms like Boomi, MuleSoft, WebMethods, etc.

  • Data Formats: Solid experience with XML (including namespaces), XPATH, XQuery, X12 EDI, JSON, and flat files

  • Communication Protocols: Experience with HTTPS, SFTP, JMS, AS2

  • Web Services: Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP web services and APIs

Domain Knowledge:

  • Supply Chain domain familiarity (Order-to-Cash and Logistics/WMS)

  • Experience defining integration mechanisms including EDI X12, EDIFACT, APIs, and flat files

  • Understanding of business partnership integration requirements

Technical Skills:

  • Linux, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS familiarity

  • Security concepts: authentication, authorization, signing, encryption, SSL/TLS, SSH/SFTP

  • Cloud technologies knowledge (AWS preferred)

  • Oxygen IDE experience (preferred)
