Project Manager / Project Leader

Location: Onsite
Work Arrangement: Onsite (Monday–Friday, standard business hours)
Duration: Long-term contract with potential extension


Role Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager / Project Leader to support the successful delivery of multiple I&IT initiatives in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. This role will work closely with Project Managers and Portfolio Leads, providing hands-on project coordination, reporting, scheduling, and stakeholder support.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while collaborating with both business and technical teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support one or more Project Managers or Portfolio Leads in managing project activities

  • Perform day-to-day project coordination and administration, including:

    • Tracking risks, issues, actions, and dependencies

    • Following up on action items

    • Preparing and maintaining project documentation

  • Maintain and update project schedules using MS Project Online

  • Facilitate meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and track follow-ups

  • Assist in the preparation of:

    • Status reports

    • Scorecards

    • Management and stakeholder updates

  • Perform data analysis using Excel to support decision-making related to scope, schedule, and cost

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration and alignment

  • Review submitted documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with standards

  • Support delivery of milestones within assigned timelines and deadlines

  • Travel to operational sites as required to support project coordination and implementation activities


Required Skills & Experience

Project Management & Coordination

  • 3–5 years of experience in I&IT project management or coordination

  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining detailed project schedules in MS Project

  • Experience supporting projects through tracking, reporting, and administrative coordination

  • Strong ability to work independently as well as with business and technical teams


Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proven experience creating and maintaining:

    • Risk, issue, and action logs

    • Status reports

    • Briefing notes

    • Presentations and project communications

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders

  • Effective facilitation, negotiation, and consultative abilities


Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Experience gathering data, performing analysis, and building reports to support project decisions

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities and strict deadlines

  • Strong attention to detail and quality assurance of documentation


Tools & Technology

  • High proficiency in:

    • MS Project

    • Excel

    • Word

    • PowerPoint

    • Visio

  • Experience supporting projects involving radio or telecommunications technology is an asset


Work & Travel Requirements

  • Onsite role during standard business hours

  • Travel to operational or dispatch locations may be required to support project activities
