The Technology Architect will provide expert-level administration and operational support for IBM RACF in a large-scale z/OS mainframe environment. The role focuses on RACF security architecture, operational stability, compliance, and support within a mission-critical enterprise environment.
Provide expert-level administration and operational support for IBM RACF
Analyze and resolve complex RACF security issues, access violations, and audit findings
Implement SSL/TLS certificate renewals in the mainframe environment
Participate in incident, problem, and change management activities, including CRQs and root-cause analysis
Provide Level-2 on-call support in a 24x7 mission-critical environment
Support RACF-related disaster recovery, business resumption planning, and contingency testing
Provide technical consultation, mentoring, and guidance to technical teams and stakeholders
Ensure delivery of complete and up-to-date RACF documentation, including procedures, standards, runbooks, and KT artifacts
Support knowledge transfer activities
15+ years hands-on experience with IBM RACF administration in z/OS environments
Proficiency with IBM zSecure for RACF auditing and automation
10+ years experience supporting large-scale enterprise mainframe environments
Experience in complex projects involving installation, setup, migrations, and upgrades
Strong understanding of:
z/OS system internals
TSO/ISPF
JCL
JES2/JES3
Mainframe architecture
Experience using RACF utilities such as IRRUT200, IRRUT400, RLIST, SETROPTS
Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks (SOX, PCI DSS, HIPAA)
Strong understanding of access control best practices and risk management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate technical security risks to technical and non-technical stakeholders
