Senior Business Analyst - Data Enablement - 176

As a Business Analyst within our IT Data Enablement team, you will be responsible for supporting the optimization of our Snowflake data warehouse as well as supporting data-related projects. Your role will involve:


1. Data Warehouse Management:
• Support the administration, maintenance, and performance tuning of the Snowflake data warehouse.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure efficient data processing, storage, and retrieval.
2. Stakeholder Communication:
• Act as a liaison between technical teams, business users, and senior management.
• Present project updates, status reports, and performance metrics to project manager and stakeholders.
3. Product Backlog Management:
• Assist with prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine backlog items and ensure timely delivery.
4. Agile Project Management and Stakeholder Engagement:
• Support agile sprints, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Gather stakeholder requirements and translate them into actionable tasks for the development team.
• Present project updates and progress to senior management in steering committee meetings (steercos).
5. Legacy Data Warehouse Migration:
• Support the migration of two legacy data warehouses (one based on PostgreSQL Aurora and the other on SQL) to Snowflake.
• Validate the accuracy and completeness of the transferred data.
• Collaborate with technical teams to decommission the old data warehouses once the migration is complete.



Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience managing data warehouses, preferably with Snowflake.
• Familiarity with AWS
• Experience implementing complex projects using Agile methodology
• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
