Responsibilities of the Business Analyst include:
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of Dynamics 365 to analyze and streamline financial processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and other stakeholders to create and document all business requirements and translate them into solutions.
- Configure and test Dynamics 365 to align with Supply Ontario’s needs and best practices.
- Implement, test, and document system changes to ensure a smooth deployment.
- Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial and accounting practices.
- Assist with data analysis and reporting efforts to support decision-making and business performance.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Mentor and support Finance team members in understanding Dynamics 365 functionalities and best practices.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certification in accounting (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) is required.
- Extensive experience and expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365, including requirements gathering, system configuration, and testing.
- Prior experience with Data Migration processes and tasks would be helpful.
- 5-7 years relevant experience in business analysis and process optimization.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry best practices in accounting and financial management.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Proficient usage of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Desirable Skills
- Experience in the use of information retrieval packages
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices
- Ability to translate business and data requirements into specifications sufficient for designing appropriate technology solutions
- Experience with a wide range of methods, tools and techniques for business analysis such as: business functional modelling, business event modelling, business process mapping
- Experience in structured, object oriented and agile methodologies for user requirements
- Experience developing performance measures for business analysis evaluation and subsequent follow-up
