Intermediate Business Analyst - Data Enablement (Hybrid) - 597

Business Analyst -Data Enablement Team
As a Business Analyst within our IT Data Enablement team, you will work in an agile environment with cross functional teams across the company and you will be responsible for:

1.Bridging the gap between technical aspects of data and business data needs.
2.Supporting the RBH business teams with other functional systems such as our real-time notification system and the process mapping solution.
3.Support components of our data warehouses such as ETL processes, databases, reports, and reporting environments.

Responsibilities:

1.Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
a.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, data requirements, and pain points.
b.Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for the data infrastructure.
c.Create detailed user stories based on business requirements.
d.Map business process documenting As Is and To Be for better understanding and identifying improvement opportunities.
e.Follow-up of requirements backlog to facilitate application software development and ensure the development work is prioritized in line with business requirements.

2.Documentation:
a.Document business requirements, use cases, and functional specifications
b.Document data flows, transformations, and dependencies within the Snowflake data warehouse and Matillion ETL processes.
c.Create and maintain technical and or user documentation to a high standard and back up files to ensure instant recovery if problems occur Maintain metadata documentation for table, columns and relationships.
d.Maintain documentation on data sources and transformations.
e.Maintain the application portfolio by updating our CMDB system with all relevant information of our systems including security, inventory, compliance, usage and disposal.

3.Testing, Support & Impact Analysis:
a.Validate data quality by creating test cases and performing data validation checks.
b.Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness throughout the data pipeline.
c.Perform impact analysis when changes are being made to the data infrastructure.
d.Be the technical point of contact for our Data Solutions in the company.

4.Process Improvement and BPMN Mapping:
a.Use BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) to map out existing (As Is) and proposed business processes (To Be) for better understanding and identifying improvement opportunities.
b.Assess options for process improvement, including business process modeling.
c.Monitoring, identifying, and correcting software defects to maintain fully functioning applications software.
d.Look for continuous improvement to systems, code, products, services or processes etc. that improve scalability, sustainability, maintainability, observability, operational efficiency, performance or result in higher benefits enjoyed by end users.

5.ETL Process and AWS infrastructure Optimization:
a.Collaborate with ETL developers to optimize Matillion workflows and transformations.
b.Identify bottlenecks, monitor performance, and suggest improvements.
c.Collaborate with AWS architects to optimize cloud computing components within the data solutions
d.Follow-up of periodic Security controls and policies.

6.Stakeholder Communication:
a.Act as a liaison between technical teams, business users, and senior management.
b.Present project updates, status reports, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
c.Collaborate with different Business System Analysts and managers to accomplish requirement developments and completion.
d.Follow-up of requirements backlog to track refinement, estimation and progress of the different development requests.
e.Prepare release notes and presentations to be shared within the company.

Qualifications:
•2-4 years’ BA experience within the Data space
•Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field.
•Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Python).
•Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, and Matillion.
•Familiarity with PowerBI or similar analytical tools.
•Experience working with Signavio or other BPMN tool
•Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and business needs to technical teams.
•Experience in Agile Frameworks (e.g. SAFe, SCRUM or Kanban).
•Delivering and working within agile projects teams using agile methodologies.
•Experience using Jira for project management and Confluence for documentation.
•Familiarity with AWS infrastructure or any other cloud computing services solution.
•Familiarity and Experience with Data management and data bases management.
•Service Management experience supporting incidents, changes and requests from business users.
•Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
•CBAP or PMP a plus
