Permanent Control Analyst

Our global financial services client is currently searching for a Permanent Control Analyst to join their growing team.

What you will do

The primary function of the Permanent Control Team is to supervise the controls within the Financial Division. The list of controls may be received from Head Office Permanent Control Department, from NY RPC, or defined by and received from the Bank’s CFO.

Permanent Control Team:
  • Monitor controls within the Financial Division
  • Report Financial Division indicators into the COSMOS tool
  • Monitor Accounting Principles Certificate preparation and obtain sign-off from the Head of Financial Accounting & Regulatory Reporting and the Bank’s CFO
  • Ensure that internal/external audit and Inspection General items are addressed
  • Report Operational losses and frauds to RPC
Key Responsibilities

Under the supervision and guidance of the Head of Permanent Control, the candidate will:
  • Execute the controls included in the control plan,
  • Prepare the results of the controls
  • Assist in preparing periodic communication to management
  • Propose and assist in amending the control plan
  • Assist in maintaining and updating Head Office database of subsidiaries and participations,
  • Monthly certification process collection of adequate back-up for each General Ledger account and escalate    problems as needed
  • Quarterly certification of aged accounts: reach out to account owners to confirm validity of aged items, implementation of the write-off procedure if and as needed,
  • In addition, the person will support updating the Business Continuity Plan for the Finance Division, work on ad-hoc projects.
Your qualifications
  • Bachelors in accounting, Finance
  • 0-2 years of banking or finance experience.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills required.
  • Advanced MS Access skills preferred.
  • Thorough, rigorous, and able to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
  • Attentive to details.
  • Capacity to adapt to fast paced and changing environment.
  • Strong time management skills and work ethic.
  • Capacity to adhere to high ethical and compliance standards.
  • Strong communication skills (English is required as they will service the US, French is preferred but not essential).
