Senior QA Specialist - 04088

Toronto, Ontario

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools 
  • Plan and organize testing efforts for large systems in Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-Graphical User Interface (GUI) environments, including the execution of systems integration tests, specialized tests, connectivity/error handling. and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests) 
  • Develop test plans, test scripts and test cases and execute these against the various components. 
  • Work with the testing lead and IT lead of each project as well as the project team members in the analysis, design, development, implementation and ongoing support of the required systems 

Desired Skills: 

  • Working knowledge of HL7 is an asset 
  • Knowledge and experience in at least one programming language 
  • Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards 
  • Knowledge of one or more automated testing tools 
  • Experience supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT activities 
  • Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle 

Must haves: 

  • Minimum 8 to 10 years’ hands-on experience testing Web Applications (.NET) 
  • Solid background in creating QA strategies, testing procedures and defect management 
  • Strong experience using Microsoft DevOps Test Plans 
  • Strong experience writing SQL queries 
  • Experience testing Business Intelligence reports/dashboards (e.g. Power BI) is an asset
  • Strong experience testing within an Agile team using Azure DevOps SDLC 
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information in a manner that is understandable 

Deliverables include, but are not limited to: 

  1. Design and create a Test Strategy for features based on the identified requirements 
  2. Estimate and create DevOps Tasks for QA related work 
  3. Create and Execute Test cases for assigned areas 
  4. Defect management for areas owned
