Job Description
Responsibilities:

Planning and implementation of Regional and District wide wireless network infrastructure capital build projects.

Ownership and actioning of network civil deficiencies at a provincial level including security augmentation, emergency restoral, site access and emergency repairs.

Contractor and vendor selection and management working within the guidelines of Rogers Procurement Policies and Procedures.

Management of Western Regional infrastructure maintenance programs including Tower, HVAC, Wildfire, Generator, Fire System, Battery, and Powerline Programs.

Fiscal management, forecasting, and tracking of District and Regional Capital and Operational Budgets

Reviewing and approving site audits, structural analysis, and engineering drawings based on Rogers Planning, Radio Engineering, Microwave and Equipment Engineering requirements.

Support for Field Operations, Network Implementation, Radio Engineering, Transmission, and Equipment Engineering as needed for resolution of civil infrastructure issues

Enforcing Engineering Guidelines and Network Standards for cell site enclosures, power systems, environmental systems, antenna supporting structures and towers.

Engineering and operational support for 3rd party incoming co-locates on Rogers owned sites.

Ensuring infrastructure safety and compliance to all applicable codes and standards and to Rogers Health and Safety standards.

Manage and implement landlord initiated projects including; the temporary moving or relocating of equipment for re-roofing or renovation work, vegetation clearing, and infrastructure augmentation.
Qualification:

Civil Engineering Degree or Civil Engineering Technology Diploma

Wireless telecom education and experience will be considered an asset

Project management experience

Experience in vendor/contractor selection and procurement processes

Working knowledge of telecom and construction industry codes and standards including relevant CSA standards and building codes

Working knowledge of wireless telecommunication infrastructure

Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Ability to manage working on multiple projects simultaneously

Familiarity with Microsoft Office and CAD software

Ability to work both autonomously and in a team-based situation

Valid drivers license required
