Senior Technical Analyst/Coordinator

Description of Role:


  • Technical Analyst/Coordinator will be responsible for working with the Business and Technical Teams (Platform and Development teams) to:
    • Oversee, plan and coordinate the decommissioning and retirement of legacy applications and reporting systems once the data and reporting has been migrated to ATB’s Google cloud Platform.
    • Includes the retirement of SAS Program, Enterprise SAS Assets, SAP reporting (BI Portal, BOBJ, HANA EDDP) across multiple business units.
    • Development of detailed retirement/decommissioning plan and execute on the plan
    • Responsible for coordinating with technical teams and business stakeholders to communicate and manage retirement of legacy applications
    • The incumbent must possess strong project coordination abilities, is detail-oriented, communicative with all project stakeholders, and passionate for operational excellence, client satisfaction, and delivering results


Job Requirements:

  • Skill/Experience:
    • Excellent technical and business communication skills
    • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas
    • Experienced in developing retirement/decommissioning plans and carrying out plans
    • Experience in decommissioning/retiring IT applications across multiple disparate systems
    • Ability to identify risks and recommends mitigation strategies
    • Experience with Agile methodologies including Use Case analysis, Features/Epics/User Stories (and their structure, mapping and dependencies)
    • Banking industry domain knowledge e.g. payments, lending, insurance, wealth management would be considered an asset
    • Experience with SAP Business Warehouse (BW), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and/or Banking Services (BaS) would be considered an Asset
    • Organizational change management experience
  • Interpersonal and Leadership Skills:
    • Excellent Organizational, Critical thinking & problem solving
    • Ability to translate technical requirements into business terms, and vice versa
    • Effective Relationship and stakeholder management skills
    • Strong Oral and written communication skills, including the ability to draft and develop Organizational Change Management content and communications
    • Ability to prioritize and effective manage workloads
