Position Overview
The Commerce System Experience & Reliability team is currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join the team as a
Business Analyst II focused on security for systems used by our sales channel.
Leading sales channel security initiatives, you will own critical projects that will help meet our rigorous privacy and security
standards. You will collaborate with, advise and guide businesses in addressing privacy and data considerations in a manner that
demonstrates TELUS commitment to putting customers and their privacy first.
As a security consultant, you will work in a cross-functional group of TELUS security, data trust offices, developers, and strategists
focused on supporting the development, deployment, and use of new security technologies across our organization. This team is
tasked with solving some of our organization's most complex challenges while building a thriving community of practice around new
emerging technologies and innovation.
Here's how
• Solve complex challenges with a team of passionate business owners, rolling up your sleeves to develop and execute
creative solutions
• Analyze application activity logs and reports to proactively investigate potential threats and security vulnerabilities
• Lead investigations of partner or channel security incidents and create creating solutions and processes to remediate
the threats and impacts
• Create a detailed plan on designing and documenting processes that will be used in fraud detection and prevention
practices.
• Assist with defining tangible product roadmap; and using data driven analytics and insight to influence priority of
projects and initiatives
• Learn continuously and be up to speed on the latest fraud, privacy and security threats in the industry
• Extensive and frequent stakeholder reporting with respect to project status, risks, issues and changes
• Provide a communications bridge between stakeholders. Significant focus on developing robust, cross-functional risk
management plans and mitigation strategies for complex project executions

• Demonstrated track record of defining and delivering measurable outcomes for customers and the business in a
highly complex stakeholder environment
• Trusted as a collaborative partner who will act with integrity to fulfil TELUS’ commitments to its customers

Great-to-haves
• Experience being involved in technical projects
• Experience with F5 enterprise solutions
• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business/Marketing
• Strong track record of being able to develop relationships with a multitude of stakeholders/peers
• 2-4 years of security, project management, and/or digital experience
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, and ambiguous environment with the ability to prioritize work and create clarity
• Experience in loss prevention or security practices in the telecommunications industry
Required Professional Designation/Certification

• Post-secondary degree
• Business Process Management experience
• Security, Privacy or Data Ethics experience
• Familiarity with the telecommunications environment
