DevOps Content Delivery - TI0510-2

You will join the Content Delivery Dev/Ops team to provide leadership, technical expertise, support, and architecture for leading edge Content Delivery solutions. This is an opportunity to provide our customers throughout Canada with the highest Quality of Experience by carrying a wide range of services over any network. Such content includes Optik TV, Optik on the Go, along with critical data supporting many other services. Our success is based as much on your dedication and hard work as it is on the innovative video, internet, voice, data and wireless products and solutions we offer.


Here’s how:

  • Provide technical analysis and support to engineering, enterprise network, partner operation teams, and/or vendors to ensure smooth delivery of all aspects of maintaining the Content Delivery Network
  • Develop new architectures and designs to support the acquisition and delivery of content
  • Ensure technical designs of networks are architected to be flexible, scalable, maintainable, and reliable
  • Deploy and leverage monitoring instrumentation as well as big data toolsets to verify system health, performance, and reliability
  • Continuously review all content collection and delivery solutions in an effort to manage the appropriate use of standardized components and to ensure that the services are planned, designed, and implemented as per Best Common Practice (BCP) requirements and defined architectures
  • Work with Project Managers and Network Planners to ensure the successful delivery of projects and any needed growth to sustain it
  • Develop and maintain documentation and information to support new architecture and designs

You're the missing piece of the puzzle:

  • Over The Top (OTT) video delivery protocols
  • Creating and executing test plans and managing/performing the ensuing update and testing procedures
  • Hands-on familiarity with testing methodologies, and quality control
  • Strong troubleshooting methodology
  • Familiar with RFCs 2616, 7230, 7232, and 7234 (among others)
  • With 5+ years of relevant experience, requiring advanced technical and analytical skills, confident in making and owning technical decisions
  • Comfortable supporting a system that operates 24/7/365 with a requirement to share on call duties
  • Advanced ability to lead and collaborate with a variety of diverse groups and technical teams (internal and/or external)
  • Support specific customer issues through assessment, interpretation, resolution or recommendations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident with presenting material to peers and senior management
  • Ability to work in an environment with high levels of ambiguity
  • Ability to manage key deliverables as part of an extended project team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, talented at developing and fostering positive relationships with other team members
  • Bachelors Computer Science or Electrical Engineering Degree
