Software Compliance Engineer

WHAT YOU WILL OWN
As we continue to take the sports betting world by storm, we will continue to bring our proprietary and best-in-market technology, modernized and premium brand mentality, expert trading practices and proven growth marketing strategies to emerging sports betting markets.
 

 
  • Track and implement technical regulations for sports betting/ online casino in states where is operating a sportsbook/online casino or will operate a sportsbook/online casino
  • Monitor potential impact of upcoming changes to products on regulatory compliance and partner with internal technology team to appropriately address any necessary responses
  • Build documentation by state of technical regulations and differences for easy access and distribution to key individuals
  • Develop, implement, and maintain testing protocol for effectiveness of relevant policies, procedures and processes
  • Maintain record retention processes for effective and compliant record retention
  • Responsible for all regulatory IT compliance tasks by state including regulator monitoring, security assessment, app compliance
  • You will oversee client due diligence with third party providers from a compliance perspective
  • The communication of changes to federal, state, and tribal laws and gaming regulations affecting the management, operations, and product offerings of the sportsbook to the technology team
 
SKILLS WE SEEK
  • Characterized as a person of immense integrity and sound judgment
  • 5+ years of relevant regulatory compliance, IT audit, IT risk management experience, preferably in the gaming or finance industries
  • An experienced professional conversant in cloud-based identity and access management solutions as well as hybrid architectures and integration of cloud-based apps (SaaS) required
  • Excellent communicator (written & verbal) and have strong comprehension of technical writing
  • Highly organized and have experience with regulatory implementation related to technology
  • Able to drive deployment and adoption planning throughout  US technology team
  • Passion for learning technology and implementing practices from others as well as educating others
  • Independent, proactive and thrive in an autonomous environment;
  • Excited to solve new complex problems in a new industry and have proven track record of multifaceted problem solving
  • Gritty, resilient and desire to learn new legislature for IT implementation related to the multi-billion-dollar sports betting industry
  • CIA, CIPP, CAMS, CRCM, etc. is a plus
  • This position is currently remote, but will in the near future need to have flexibility to go into an office in downtown Toronto.
