Content Lead 2 - 16302

Our telecom client has  a 6 month contract position for a Content Lead

 In this role, you’ll lead the production of a weekly 25 minute podcast that is distributed to various podcast platforms, YouTube and Optik. To be successful, you’ll have the ability to translate the focus and guiding principles of the podcast into engaging, audience first stories.

Reporting to the Manager, Studios – Video, you will be part of a team of professional storytellers who are relentless in their search for new ways to engage audiences through video. Our culture fosters collaborative learning in a fast-paced environment. We push boundaries while protecting the brand and serving the audience.

Responsibilities:

Research episode guests and pitch those ideas to the team
Set the focus for episodes and create background documents to support the focus
Partner with podcast host on show development
Book guests, coordinate interviews, and prep the host for episodes
Develop and Maintain editorial calendar and podcast briefing documents
Produce the live episode recording, providing technical support and host guidance
Review transcripts and recordings to trim and improve episode
Select clips for social media and approve social copy
Use metrics and analytics to adjust podcast content strategy
Work collaboratively with other TELUS teams to champion engaging guests that speak to TELUS areas of interest.


Qualifications

Required Skills & Abilities:
Proven ability to research and book
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to advocate for project within a corporate environment
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work to deadlines with clear organization and excellent time management
Audio/Video production skills
Copywriting skills an asset


Required Experience:

3 years researching/producing podcasts or radio preferably with a current-affairs, interview based format
Experience as a collaborator in both large and small teams
A diploma or degree in journalism or related field or equivalent experience


Post Production:
Collaborate with editors, offering detailed direction on story structure based on storyboards and scripts
Manage post production approvals with clients
Ensure all client revisions are made or addressed during the approval process
Ensure video material adheres to corporate branding guidelines, values, style guides, editorial policy, and copyright laws

Must to have skills: 
1. Professional field production (producer/director)
2. Extensive video storytelling experience
3.professional production/project coordination skills

Nice to have skills:
1. experience working with major brand
2. post production skills
3. multiple languages
