Change Management Specialist

Description of Work:

Our client seeks an Organizational Change Management (OCM) Specialist passionate about helping the client solve complex challenges and supporting them through critical delivery in Technology, Innovation and Engineering (TIE). You will enable change, optimize change capacity, steward adoption and realize results that enable the success of TIE’s goals for the client. This role has the skills and knowledge required to develop change management interventions to mitigate impact and risk of change and measure business readiness. Key Responsibilities

Align leadership with the goals and objectives essential to successful project execution
Apply behavioral tools to assess the impact of change on organizations, using assessments of organizational culture, performance, and readiness for change.
Apply certified OCM Models, Tools, and Frameworks to support improved client future-state organizational design and alignment.
Build and execute change management strategies, create awareness within the program leadership of the importance of their roles as change advocates.
Define and execute communication strategies to effectively share information with initiative stakeholders throughout the initiative life-cycle.
Develop and deploy user adoption/training programs to support change related initiative implementations.
Identify the impact of the change on affected parties during each phase of the initiative, and create/execute detailed action plans to address the human side of change.
Lead efforts to execute change management recommendations across multiple initiatives, including new business process, technology, and organizational changes.
Lead the development and delivery of services that are focused on leading clients (management, stakeholders, employees, and partners) through the change process, particularly in the context of Business Process, Risk Mgmt., Compliance, IT Effectiveness, and Human Capital related project implementations.
Manage and implement core OCM activities (change strategy & planning, stakeholder engagement, change impact, organizational readiness, communications and training, business transition)
Provide guidance to team members in the development of change strategies and plans
Provide input, documenting requirements and supporting the design and delivery of Change Management training programs.
Translate complex ideas or results into easy-to-understand, actionable statements and conclusions.

Experience developing detailed action plans that pinpoint the impact of change on affected parties and identify the plan of action for addressing the anticipated responses to the change.
Experience measuring the effectiveness of change management activities, such as through surveys and interviews.
Proven and demonstrable experience in creating Learning artifacts and process enablement support guides that drive team member knowledge and skills for the anticipated change.
Reviews and reports on outcomes and success measures (benefits) at end of the initiative to the project sponsor and team.
Experience must include implementing formal change management methodologies in politically complex environments.
Experience working to ensure broad awareness of impending change and the anticipated impact on affected parties at the departmental and worker levels.
Must be able to develop communications and other deliverables aligned to the change related project plans.
Must be able to facilitate stakeholder alignment on strategy sessions to document and close gaps in acceptance.

Required Skills and Experience:

Accreditation
Minimum 5-7 years with direct experience in Change Management, including change management leadership on large, transformational change programs and initiatives
Experience (in theory and in practice) with multiple change management methods and best practices
Bachelor’s degree in learning, communications, organization behavior, organization development or similar fields.
Change Certification in an industry accepted change methodology or standard.
Background in individual and/or organizational psychology would be an asset.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in change management areas such as communications, training and support, leadership engagement or change network management.
Experience in projects and change management within the finance sector highly desirable
Minimum 1-2 years project and team management experience.

Core Skills
Ability to build and tell a powerful data story with meaningful information to support strategic decision meaning
Project management skills - can (with minimal guidance) conceptualize an approach, translate into key build activities and milestones and execute; project management certifications are an asset
Personal presence and ability to clearly interpret, translate, and articulate to inform strategies across multiple areas
Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills
Ability to interact effectively with different levels of management, from office workers to “C” level executives.
Experience in Change Management related to Business Process, Risk Mgmt., Compliance, IT Effectiveness, or Human Capital.
Has led change management projects as a Change Lead or Work Stream Lead and with exposure in Change Strategy and Change Management Effort Estimation.
Have a strong understanding in Change Management so as to provide innovative solutions, respond to proposals and set up a change work stream for a client.
Have ability to manage time and multiple commitments/projects simultaneously.
Maintain good relationships with clients and project managers.
Self-motivated with strong analytical and communication skills.
