Our client is in need of a Project Manager 2 for an initial 12-month contract in Calgary, AB

Description:
As a member of the PMO you will have the exciting opportunity to work with the business partners and key stakeholders to successfully lead the delivery of the clients strategic initiatives focused on transforming and streamlining the field deployment model designed to deliver best in class customer experience.

-Leverage your expertise in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies and bring project management best practices to deliver the best results and help evolve our PMO maturity
-Manage complex strategic initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver on strategic goals designed to transform our Field Operations, and enhance end to end customer journey
-Help remove impediments and foster a collaborative environment for high-performing teams with a continuous improvement mindset
-Leverage your expertise in change management to help the team embrace and adapt change in a dynamic, fast paced, and growth-oriented environment
-Demonstrate a sense of urgency and ownership to deliver projects in the most efficient and effective way with a smooth transition to Operations Team
-Proactive stakeholder engagement in setting project direction and taking the initiative to resolve project related issues while demonstrating diplomacy and tact
-Skilled at creating and delivering executive level communications & presentations

What you Bring:
Bachelor degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience. MBA, CPA, PMP and/or other post-graduate education, designation or certification preferred
2-3+ years of experience as part of a business functional team or project management group that has delivered operational results
2-3+ years of experience applying Lean, Six Sigma or Agile project management practices

To succeed in your role you will want to be skilled in:
Ability to manage through ambiguity using Agile program management principles to deliver new capabilities in recognizable iterations that advance a strategic roadmap of improvements and new opportunities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to scope out difficult tasks, set objectives and goals, develop schedules, prioritize multiple activities, and anticipate roadblocks
Take initiative and ownership of understanding escalation drivers across multiple channels as well as initiating required program enhancements through to resolution
Facilitation of large groups including fair-process interlock with functional leadership and systems development groups
Advanced problem solving and risk management skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions
Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interface at all levels within the organization, including facilitation consultation, negotiation and influencing skills to impact decisions
 
Must have skills:
