Workforce Planning Analyst

Description of Work:

Support the development and sustainment of strategic workforce planning processes by defining demand and supply models, forecasting scenarios, carrying out predictive analytics, and supporting content build. 

Responsibilities:
  • Create content to support the introduction of strategic workforce planning
  • Design demand and supply models for TIE talent and conduct gap analysis 
  • Use experience in scenario planning to define a few alternative future scenarios based on TIE’s strategy
  • Use predictive analytics to forecast talent demand and supply to support previously developed scenarios 
  • Research and analyze industry and labour market trends, as well as the competitive landscape to derive informative and actionable insights
  • Synthesize complex data using advanced analytics, data visualizations, and dashboards
  • Focus on advanced analytics that deal with big data, data processing, and multiple data sources
  • Support and coordinate the project through all phases of initiation, development and implementation

Required Skills and Experience:

Core Technical Skills
  • Clear understanding of and experience with Strategic Workforce Planning concepts  
  • Project delivery, planning and steering - ensuring alignment with project plan and stakeholders
  • Expertise in data reporting, visualization & dashboarding tools - cleaning and preparation of data to be later analyzed with business intelligence (BI) tools (e.g. Tableau). Data flow planning. Visualization concepts (data storytelling). Dashboarding tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

Other data and analytics-related skills including
  • Data governance
  • Data cleansing, curation, harmonization and packaging
  • Data privacy and regulation
  • Prescriptive and predictive analytics
  • Metadata management
  • Business analysis - including data gathering, analytical thinking, and insights analysis

Interpersonal and Leadership Skills
  • Critical thinking & problem solving 
  • Written & verbal Communication
  • Storytelling

Experience & Accreditation
  • 3-5 years experience in workforce planning, data modeling, forecasting, & scenario planning
  • Bachelor's degree in math, science, business, or equivalent
  • Working knowledge in SQL-based technologies (e.g Big Query, MySQL)
