SDET(Software Development Engineer in Test )-TI260421-VII

Our client is looking for a qualified professional to fill a SDET position in 
Digital Solutions team. This person will be responsible for:

● The SDET Engineer is responsible for supporting the users of the infrastructure
they develop, and the first line of defense is protecting the cloud against hackers
and viruses. They do this with code, of course, building secure software from
the start. This team member supports the build, test, deployment and operation
of applications
● The Lead SDET will be responsible to make sure that the junior SDETs are cross
skilled, and are able to collaborate and work on the stories identified within the
sprint
● The Lead SDET must ensure that right & complete system knowledge is being
shared with every Junior SDETs, to maintain quality consistency of scrum
deliverables
● Must sense the risks timely and mitigate it accordingly. For example - For critical
projects & releases, must be able to identify the downstream systems making
changes or Env dependencies, which can impact scrum delivery timelines and
Testing approach. Should highlight any such risks to Scrum team/
Architect/Release Architect immediately
● Contribute towards developing a High-Performance scrum team throughout the
tenure

Required Skills:
● Strong and Effective Communication skills
● Demonstrate the ability to take the QE related inputs from leadership and help in
implementing the same within scrum. The role requires interaction, mentoring
and coaching of the embedded junior SDETs to keep them focused towards
Quality Engineering best practices and delivering quality rich shippable
products.
● Demonstrate collaboration while working with the Architect, Release Architect,
E2E Primes & UAT on Test Strategies
● Solution seeker with innovative inputs
● Problem mitigation and solving experiences
● Take lead during the crisis

Required Experience:
● 3+ years of experience and advanced knowledge with Java/JavaScript
● 2+ Year working in a Agile environment
● Advanced knowledge with Databases and SQL
● Experience with developing and administering CI/CD pipeline using tools such
as Jenkins, Bamboo etc
● 1+ Year of experience with test automation frameworks like Jest( Preferred)
● In-depth understanding of containers and container-orchestration
● Significant experience with Windows and Linux operating system environments
● Familiarity with container orchestration services, especially Kubernetes
● Knowledge of AWS or Google Cloud platform

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them
  • Establish milestones for necessary contributions from departments and develop processes to facilitate their collaboration
  • Assist other department engineers in creating practical demonstrations of proposed solutions and demonstrating them to other members of the team
  • Provide detailed specifications for proposed solutions including materials, manpower and time necessary
  • Provide clear goals for all areas of a project and develop steps to oversee their timely execution
  • Work closely with engineering professionals within the company to maintain hardware and software needed for projects to be completed efficiently
  • Mentor and train other engineers throughout the company and seek to continually improve processes companywide
  • Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor progress and implementation of initiatives
  • Support production deployments and assist in resolution of issues identified in post deployment testing work with the Team Engineer to perform a range of activities including:
    • Incident triage and break fix
    • Incident, Event and Ticket Management

    • Maintenance, Tuning & Cost Reduction

    • Environment Management
    •  Identify technical debt and raise it with the Product Manager so that it is added to the backlog
    • Work with other DevOps Engineers to share knowledge on how to deliver more efficiently and effectively
    • Be willing to perform test activities on an ad-hoc basis
