Key Accountabilities :
Application Portfolio Management platform (~10%) (currently Enterprise 1) owner and vendor relationship
• Application Portfolio Management is the foundational tool to enabling Global Enterprise Architecture to ensure segment roadmaps exist and are being frequently updated, to ensure application architecture data is recorded such as software products and versions as well as support Risk in recording the necessary data for standards compliance and to identify exceptions.
• This responsibility includes BAU support, enhancements and vendor relationship. Global Capability Model owner (~5%) to communicate, gather feedback and enhance as our businesses evolve Chair of Architecture & Engineering Consortium (10%) to drive the GEA agenda on target technology standards Application roadmap reporting, tracking KPI’s and data completeness (10%) ownership of PowerBI dashboards and reporting) Target Technology Standards (30%) communication and lifecycle management, based on ideas, emerging, standards and decommissioned
• Target Technology Standards, managing exceptions, and managing the lifecycle: Ideas intake, end users requests + event milestones (EOL/EOS events, P2G/Programs priorities, contract renewals), Emerging (facilitating POC’s), Standard (Communications & catalogue management), Decommissioned (legacy standards).
Bring a external lens on current and emerging advanced technologies and serve as an advisor to the Group CIO on strategic direction of technology adoption - cultivate broad and meaningful relationships with technology vendors, business partners, academic institutions, trade press, government agencies, research organizations and other technology thought leaders to advance the company’s access to architecture technologies.
• Build and maintain relationships internally to identifying architectural technical practices that can be leveraged across Segments Architecture principles, standards and expectations (10%) for aligned approach to standard decisions, design approaches and consistent expectations on Architects and application owners across the company
Job Requirement: • Minimum of 10+ years of hands on technology leadership experience with proven experience in developing and executing strategic and tactical plans. • Demonstrated ability to build a leading-edge software architecture team that drives newage thinking balanced with driving down costs and improved efficiencies. • Industry leader with broad technical skills across applications and platforms, with direct domain architecture expertise in the following technologies an asset: mobile/digital, data management, analytics, etc.). • Deep experience in enterprise architecture, systems or solutions architecture and systems integration. • Demonstrated success driving divisional initiatives across organizations with competing priorities and working in large, global matrixed environments to drive results. • Exhibits curiosity and a grasp of details while also able to apply perspective to craft compelling business arguments. • Cultivates a wide network of external relationships that can be called upon to contribute to advancing the Company’s strategies. • Proficient project management skills evidenced by multiple successful projects of at least $3-5M • Exceptional communications judgement and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Confident presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate working with senior management at all levels. • Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver actionable recommendations based on analysis. Ability to translate analyses, using mediums to drive comprehensible recommendations (e.g., dashboards, graphics, summaries, etc.). • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, management of information systems or equivalent.
