Key Responsibilities/Job Functions:
Thorough understanding in working with "Big Data" and translation of data into a simplified format using Power BI and Tableau
Working with Oracle based systems to retrieve data and create, automate required reports and analysis
Create reports based on stakeholder requirements to clearly identify current project status and trends
Focus on the automation of reports and data analysis.
Compile data from various sources, analyze the data and create an in-depth report on the findings from that data
Must understand where relevant data is stored, be able to retrieve that data, and be able to compile that data into a user friendly format
Responsibilities include eliciting, analyzing, documenting and validating business requirements, process flows, identifying system and process solution components, producing functional specifications for solution components or possibly for the integrated solutions. at the highest levels
Typically works on projects which impact a multiple departments or workgroups across multiple business units
Advise on the quality of the data and the validity of any conclusions that can be drawn from it
Work with the business to obtain the necessary clarity of the requirements at a function point context. work with project managers, sponsors and other stakeholders to develop and plan technical strategies, agree upon project priorities and deliver reports and analytics that support business requirements.
Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment.
Ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved.
Prepares documentation on expected benefits, use cases, current / proposed process, workflows, data flows, process re-engineering studies, functional specifics, risk integration, end-user adoption plans/guides and organization structures.
Responsible for the technical / systems analysis, design, development, unit testing, system integration testing, implementation and support of software applications, using existing and emerging technology platforms. Role includes custodian of the established architecture assuring that documented standards and procedures are adhered to and ensure the smooth interpretability of the applications.
Experience and Education Preferred:
3-5 yrs experience in using Power BI and Tableau applications
3-5 yrs experience in using Oracle, Essbase and Discoverer
3-5 years of Business Analysis experience is an Asset
Expert knowledge in Excel, Power Pivot, and data analytics
Project/Program management experience is an asset
Pervious Experience on multiple large or complex projects an asset
Bachelor Degree in a related field (Statistics, Mathematics or Computer Science) an asset
Communicates effectively with meaningful and articulate verbal discussions.
Creates clear and coherent written materials.
Synthesizes information into succinct, concise and logical summaries and reports.
