Indigenous Storytelling Lead - 15041

Our client is looking for an Advisor - Indigenous Affairs for a 6 months contract. Locations can be BC or Alberta

Description:
  • Work internally and externally to support the development of a centralized, consolidated and structured Indigenous storytelling narrative and ensure consistent flow of cross-medium stories.
  • Develop roadmap and manage the integration and amplification across existing channels/processes/narratives as well as net new targeted campaigns, both internal and external.
  • Ensure effective management of Indigenous storytelling programs, including but not limited to maintenance of and reporting out on metrics, consolidated list of opportunities, cross-team engagement.
  • Review of internal and external narratives including for cultural sensitivity and accuracy.
  • Development of roll-out strategy for Indigenous Connectivity Report, including associated website.
  • Engagement with Indigenous communities and governments.
Key Skills:
  1. Demonstrated project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives, timelines, budget and people.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with experience reporting to an executive audience.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge and appreciation of the unique history, cultures and rights of Indigenous Peoples in Canada
  4. Demonstrated history of building successful relationships with Indigenous communities
  5. Critical thinking skills and knowledge of Indigenous cultural protocols and ability to exercise cultural sensitivity when reviewing material and engaging Indigenous communities.

Must to have skills: (please at least 3 skills/exp):
