Sr. Interaction Designer 3 (14005)

As a Senior Designer on optimization squad, you will play a key role to create digital experiences for our client customers in collaboration with multiple teams – user experience, development, testing, analytics and marketing. The optimization squad is made up a POs, developers and content writers who look at our client's key customer journeys E2E on the site and identify areas of fallout or experience gaps and uncover opportunities to improve or optimize the experience to drive more people through the funnel and ultimately more conversions online. The key customer journeys we look to optimize include, existing customers who are looking to renew their services, existing customers looking to add another line or product with our client, prospective customers.

What you’ll be responsible for:
  • Applying user-centered design processes and industry best practices to design world class digital experiences for all screen sizes and types that holistically solve customer and business challenges
  • Collaborating with a variety of disciplines to define problems and generate solutions
  • Formulating recommendations and socializing those recommendations with senior leadership
  • Crafting and leading exploratory design sessions, mapping workshops and other collaborative working sessions with team members and partner stakeholders
  • Generating user interface sketches and wireframes, as well as helping to create prototypes to test and communicate ideas and solutions
  • Facilitating discussions around your work and its iterations with your peers
  • Leveraging your skills in interpretation of usability testing, user research, and web analytics to uncover insights and identify gaps
  • Mentoring of junior and intermediate interaction designer(s)
What you’ll need to be successful:
  • 7+ years of senior experience as a interaction designer with a body of work that demonstrates your depth of skill, and ability to lead design in projects
  • Ability to gracefully give and receive feedback
  • Hyper-focused on delivering great customer experiences aligned to business outcomes
  • Passionate about modern design practices and methodologies, but flexible enough to think outside the box when required
  • Well-versed in lean digital product development lifecycles in a highly-collaborative, agile environment
  • Well-versed in the interplay between business, technical and customer needs within the context of designing for the Web
  • Highly detail oriented and organized, with exceptional analytical skills
  • Able to communicate design rationale and build consensus
  • Expert in user-centred design (UCD), information architecture (IA), interaction design (IxD), wireframing and prototyping
  • Comfortable with industry standard design toolsets including Sketch, InVision, Google Suite… plus whiteboard, pen, paper and stickies!
  • Solid understanding of Web accessibility best practices and an ability to create accessible product
Must to have skills:
1. Ability to act as practice lead for the team and be recognized as an expert of design process
2. Effectively articulates design alternatives to ensure customer and business needs are met
3. Ability to contribute to the development and improvement of our client design system guidelines

Nice to have skills:
1. Has the ability to share learnings and experiences across the team
2. Effectively articulates the design objectives to junior interaction designers and visual designers
3. Demonstrates full working knowledge and understanding of our client's business and initiatives
