Title: Project Manager / Leader

Work Arrangement

Onsite
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (excluding lunch)


Role Overview

The Project Manager / Leader will ensure an integrated approach to planning, development, and execution across multiple program streams. The role is responsible for managing interdependencies, delivering strong program governance, and producing standard project management artifacts while coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and external partners.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as Program Manager to align project activities with overall program objectives

  • Deliver program governance and regular reporting

  • Produce and maintain standard program management artifacts (e.g., Charter, PCR)

  • Identify, manage, and track project interdependencies

  • Create and maintain a comprehensive program RAID log

  • Conduct stakeholder analysis and stakeholder feedback sessions

  • Coordinate with internal and external partners on construction schedules, furniture installation, and vendor-led I&IT/ITS implementations

  • Arrange and manage move-day support activities

  • Manage the implementation of ITS TechLounge installations

  • Develop and maintain a detailed recovery schedule


Skills & Experience Requirements

1. Service Implementation, Migration & Transformation (30%)

  • Proven knowledge of I&IT services design and modernization

  • Strong experience in telecommunications infrastructure rationalization, design, and migration

  • Demonstrated leadership in I&IT service migrations, including vendor management and dependency management

  • Ability to plan and execute large-scale voice, data, and video service implementations and migrations


2. Enterprise Project Management Experience (25%)

  • Extensive experience leading complex, enterprise-level technology and transformation projects

  • Experience with workspace modernization and user migration initiatives

  • Demonstrated use of PM methodologies across the full project lifecycle

  • Experience developing project charters, integrated project plans, governance models

  • Proven ability to track risks/issues and manage and report project financials


3. Ontario Government Experience (5%)

  • Experience working within OPS Enterprise Project Management requirements (asset)

  • Experience coordinating milestones impacting Executive Offices


4. Communication Skills (10%)

  • Strong experience working with internal stakeholders and external vendor partners

  • Proven ability to negotiate, document, and communicate project status, risks, and dependencies

  • Ability to obtain stakeholder buy-in and support for project deliverables


Must Have

  • Experience managing relocation-related projects and physical move logistics

  • Proven expertise in I&IT services design and modernization, particularly telecommunications infrastructure

  • Deep experience leading enterprise-level technology implementations, transformations, workspace modernization, and user migrations

  • Demonstrated experience with PM methodologies, project charters, integrated planning, financial management, and governance


Nice to Have

  • Prior OPS or public-sector experience
