Profitability & Internal Pricing Analyst

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Profitability & Internal Pricing Analyst to join a dynamic Financial Steering and ALM team in Montreal. This role offers exposure to both commercial and investment banking operations, providing a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in profitability analysis, transaction optimization, and strategic advisory.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Front Office, Risk, and IT, and collaborate with colleagues in North America and globally. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, enjoys “thinking outside the box,” and takes ownership of projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and manage the Business Pipeline Committee, including scheduling agendas, leading meetings, preparing minutes, and providing follow-up information.
  • Provide transaction and relationship optimization advice to Front Office teams, helping to enhance profitability and efficiency.
  • Conduct independent profitability and strategic analysis of new deals, supporting decision-making for business growth.
  • Assist with the coordination of secondary loan sales advisory processes.
  • Serve as a liaison between Front Office teams, Financial Steering, and ALM groups to ensure accurate data management and reporting.
  • Support the team in understanding capital, liquidity, and economic value perspectives, providing guidance on deal structures and optimization strategies.

Qualifications​:

Education & Certifications​:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Graduate degree is a plus but not required.
Experience​:
  • 0–2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Prior exposure to financial analysis, macroeconomics, fixed income, risk management, or banking is an asset.
  • Previous experience in a banking environment is preferred.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
