Pay Rate: $70-$80/h INC

Overview

The ideal candidate should be able to contribute to our automation platform, which runs certification tests on Telecom devices. The platform is built using Robot Framework and Python.
Although Robot Framework is straightforward to learn, Python skills are essential.
The ideal candidate will have automation skills and networking skills to help understand the networking commands and expected output that can be translated within automation scripts. 

• Analyze existing manual test scenarios

• Design and build automated test frameworks

• Implement automation for network device certification processes

• Ensure scalability and efficiency of automated solutions

Must-Have Skills:

• 10+ years of Python scripting experience (data types, functions, classes, and general coding fundamentals)
• Experience with network automation libraries (e.g. Netmiko/Paramiko and TextFSM.)
• Familiarity with open source automation frameworks (e.g. pyATS and Cisco Genie.)
• Experience configuring routers and switches
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting key routing and switching protocols such as:
  • Static and Dynamic IP Routing (IS-IS, BGP)
  • VLANs, LACP, Spanning tree protocols (STP), trunking

Nice to Have Skills:

• Basic understanding of networking concepts (Router and switch configuration and deployment)
• Routing protocols (e.g., dynamic PR routing)
• VLAN concepts
