The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Junior Security Analyst to join their DSG team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in cyber security risk assessments and security-by-design practices for business requirements and projects.
The successful candidate will collaborate with Business, Risk, Privacy, and Technology teams to assess and analyze cyber security risks. You will provide security recommendations based on identified threats, risks, and compliance requirements. Additionally, you will document and track risks and recommendations through Security Assessment Reports (SAR) and Quality Risk Management (QRM) processes, and seek necessary approvals where required.
What You Will Do:
  • Act as a liaison with Business and Risk teams to gather information on projects and requirements
  • Review security in business applications and services to ensure compliance with security standards
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in cyber security related to business needs while balancing priorities
  • Develop and maintain security tracking for critical business initiatives
  • Collaborate with privacy and risk teams to align security assessments
  • Coordinate with Business and Technology teams to ensure security requirements are clearly documented

Your Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in secure design and project risk assessments across cloud, on-prem, and SaaS environments
  • Strong knowledge of information security standards and frameworks (e.g., CSA CCM, ISO, PCI DSS, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53)
  • Experience in a consulting role working with Technology, Project, and Business stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Working knowledge of AI systems and security controls applicable to AI technologies
  • Experience providing security recommendations based on application security testing (Secure Code Review, DAST, SAST)
  • Familiarity with threat modeling methodologies for applications and services
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to clearly communicate risks and recommendations to leadership

Nice to Have:
  • One or more of the following certifications: CISSP, CRISC, ISSAP, CISM, CISA, CCSP
