Intermediate Project Manager – Healthcare (Immunization Repository)
Location: Ontario (Hybrid – up to 5 days onsite as required)
Duration: 210 business days (~10 months) + extension option
Pay Rate: $681/day (Per Diem)

Overview
We are seeking an Intermediate Project Manager to support key initiatives within the Immunization Repository Optimization Program, a critical component of Ontario’s Public Health Digital Platform.
This role will focus on supporting the development and implementation of a centralized “One Immunization Record” system, working across multiple stakeholders to ensure successful and timely delivery of project workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development and management of the Integrated Project Plan, including timelines and deliverables
- Manage project risks, issues, and change requests, ensuring timely resolution
- Engage with vendors, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to manage expectations and delivery
- Contribute to program governance and advisory committees
- Drive stakeholder engagement and communication, including status reporting and updates
- Collaborate with internal teams (Architecture, Privacy, Security, Data Management) to refine requirements
- Ensure go-live readiness, including technical, workflow, and compliance requirements
- Monitor and maintain project documentation and reporting repositories
- Support deployment tracking, reporting, and portfolio management
- Identify risks proactively and recommend mitigation strategies
- Support change management activities to drive adoption across stakeholders
Must-Have Qualifications
- 4–5+ years of experience managing electronic health or clinical system projects
- 3–4+ years of experience with project management principles (scope, risk, planning, scheduling, quality)
- 2–3+ years of experience or knowledge of immunization workflows across:
- Pharmacies
- Hospitals
- Health records systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
- Experience working in matrixed environments
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of PMI methodologies (PMBOK)
- Experience with project management tools (MS Project, MS Teams, etc.)
- Experience working with Agile and Waterfall delivery models
- Ability to manage risks, issues, and stakeholder expectations effectively
- Strong collaboration and conflict resolution skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with public health programs or immunization registries
- Experience in public sector or highly regulated environments
- Knowledge of pharmacy workflows and health system implementations
- PMP certification or equivalent
- Experience working in politically sensitive or complex organizational environments

Additional Information
- Extension: Up to an additional 254 business days
- Must comply with Ontario-based work requirements (no out-of-province system access)
- Hybrid work model – onsite presence required based on hiring manager discretion
- Full knowledge transfer and documentation required at project completion
Compensation
- $681 per day (Per Diem)
- Approx. 210 business days (~10 months)
- Potential extension up to an additional 254 business days
- Total contract value dependent on duration and extension
