
Job Title: Senior Project Manager – Procurement System Modernization
Location: Alberta, Canada (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)

About the Opportunity
We are currently hiring a Senior Project Manager to support a large-scale Procurement System Modernization initiative within a major public sector environment. This role will lead complex enterprise transformation projects involving procurement modernization, ERP transformation, HRIS initiatives, budgeting systems, and large-scale business process improvements.
The successful candidate will work closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams to deliver large enterprise projects supporting digital transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex Procurement modernization projects covering Contract-to-Pay, Procure-to-Pay, and Source-to-Contract processes
• Manage enterprise projects involving ERP, HRIS, financial systems, budgeting, and operational transformation initiatives
• Develop project charters, roadmaps, project plans, governance models, schedules, and resource strategies
• Lead project governance activities including executive updates, steering committee reporting, risk management, and issue resolution
• Collaborate with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery
• Manage project budgets, forecasting, resources, timelines, dependencies, and project communications
• Drive project execution while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and organizational objectives
• Support change management, stakeholder engagement, communication planning, and organizational readiness activities
Required Experience:
• Strong Project Management experience delivering large enterprise initiatives
• Experience managing Procurement transformation projects
• Experience managing HRIS, ERP, Finance, or Budgeting projects
• Strong experience with project governance, risk management, and executive reporting
• Experience managing large stakeholder groups and cross-functional teams
• Experience creating project plans, schedules, business cases, and status reporting
Preferred Experience:
• Public sector experience
• SAP / ERP modernization experience
• Procurement systems experience
• Experience working in highly regulated environments
Work Arrangement:
• Onsite – 5 Days per Week
• Working Hours: Monday–Friday (08:15 AM – 04:30 PM Alberta Time)
• Work must be performed from within Canada
