Title: Back-End Developer

Position Summary
As a Back-End Developer you will play a crucial role in elevating our IT capabilities
during a transformative period. Your primary responsibility will be to develop,
maintain, and significantly enhance our back-end systems, with a focus on Python
and AWS technologies. This position is pivotal as we transition into cloud
management of our services and APIs, requiring someone who can take lead,
produce high-quality work efficiently, and lead projects from conception to
completion.
You'll be instrumental in improving our current processes, expanding our API
capabilities, and migrating systems to AWS. We're looking for a proactive
problem-solver who can think through solutions end-to-end, bring insightful
questions when necessary, and leverage existing resources effectively. Your ability to
scope projects, plan and meet deadlines, and produce comprehensive
documentation will be crucial to our success.
Reporting Relationships
This position reports directly to the Director of IT and works collaboratively across the
IT department, our Project Management office and with internal and external
partners.

Knowledge & Experience
● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field.
● 5+ years of experience in back-end development, with a strong focus on
Python.
● Proven experience with AWS services, particularly in managing cloud
services and APIs.
● Demonstrated ability to lead projects from conception to completion.
● Strong experience in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs.
● Proficiency in database design and management.
● Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
● Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
● Knowledge of AI technologies and their application in software
development.
