Job Description:
Successful candidate will work on all aspects of IPTV VOD content acquisition and distribution, including but not limited to onboarding of providers to asset package specification, delivery, processing, defect management, distribution, qa and reporting.

•       Lead and oversee the technical onboarding of all providers/brands
•       Actively participates on all projects related such as upgrades, modifications, augmentations, new service introduction etc
•       Proactively monitors the end-to-end performance of the platform and provide case studies and recommendations based on findings
•       Collaborate with Technology, and Engineering and other internal teams to ensure that all planned work is not negatively impacting network performance
•       Lead the development and continuous improvement of content management tools within video services
•       Works to achieve a high level of Security on the video platform by minimizing the vulnerabilities and by following guidelines from the vendors, engineering and the network security team
•       Develop and review all MOP’s (Method of Procedure) prior to any change control activities to ensure impact to the customers is minimized. The specialists are also involved with other functional groups such as the NOC (Network Operations Centre) and other platforms to review and approve proposed change activities
•       Develop and maintain reports and documentation including run books, methods of procedure, onboarding and merchandising procedures
•       Act as Tier 4 technical escalation to address service-impacting outages arising from technically challenging problems
•       Interact with providers on chronic failures with an aim to educate them in root causes and impacts.  Manage the relationship until solutions are found and implemented successfully
•       Liaise with Engineering and product on future roadmaps and evolution, and on retirement tactics for end of life brands and platforms

•       The candidate should be able to analyze root causes on integration and inter-operability issues that affect the stability and performance of the video services in the production environment.
•       Experience working in a Cable, Broadcast and/or IPTV environment
•       Experience with Linux, Windows Server, Media Streaming Protocols (HSS, HLS, HDS, and MPEG DASH), DOCSIS/CMTS, MPEG2 and MPEG4 (H.264), and enhanced programming guides (EPG), Content management systems, FTP and QA
•       Strong understanding of metadata, video and poster specifications and package delivery tools such as Aspera. End to end content processing and fault finding
•       Strong understanding of Video Encoding and Transcoding Platforms and processes, including but not limited to Mezzanine, ABR, CBR and Codec & Wrappers
•       Ability to take intelligent risk and encouraging risk-taking in others
