The position will be responsible for the design and execution of technical solutions on the server environment as required by the NERC CIP Transition program.
Responsibilities include:
  • Engineering of SA-related solutions for various project and operational needs
  • Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage ,etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Contribute to and maintain system standards.
Research and recommend innovative and where possible automated approaches for system administration task.  Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale

Competencies & Experience
  • Strong Linux or Windows systems administration skills including in a large scale, production data center environment.
  • OS and network configuration (DNS, Bonded interfaces, troubleshooting routes, DNS, network connectivity).
  • File system administration.
  • Some understanding of configuration automation.
  • Experience working in customer-facing production environments
  • Networking experience.
  • Scripting experience
