This position resides within Corporate Security team which partners with the business to capture expected revenue. Specifically, the team works with stakeholders to quantify the revenue risks, perform an end-to-end process review, and put controls in place to manage the risk. Fraud analyst will track and improve the effectiveness of fraud prevention/detection rules in fraud detection systems and, the authentication processes within all front end activation channels. 

Responsibilities 
•Conduct Fraud Investigation and daily monitoring to capture various fraud types on both wireline and wireless networks. 
•Identify and report to internal and external teams regarding current fraud trends. 
•Identify gaps between current fraud controls and new fraud trend to mitigate further fraud risks exposures. 

Required Knowledge 
•Strong knowledge of billing systems, Call Usage, authentication processes during activation/renewal and how it relates to the Fraud prevention. 
•Strong understanding of various telecommunication technologies 

Required Skills 
•Hands on experience of writing SQL queries and strong computer skills especially with the Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. 
•Ability to respond quickly and proactively to customers’ needs 
•Must be forward thinking with an ability to consider and strategize about customer experience and business challenges, and proactively propose solutions 
•Attention to detail and strong analytical skills are essential, along with the capacity to identify and understand associated operational/business risks of the area under review 
•Must be a proven self-starter with a proactive attitude and able to work independently as well as in a team 
•Master the knowledge and become an expert in at least one area within Fraud. 
•Experience in business analysis is an asset. 
• Bilingual is an asset (French/English) 
•Post-secondary or completed university education. 

Required Experience. 
•1- 3 years working experience in a wireless and wireline telecommunication fraud environment.

Must to have skills:
1. Strong Analytical skills
2. Strong SQL and Excel
3. Strong Customer service and language skills, spoken and written (there will be some calling to customers, fraud victims or potential fraudsters )

Nice to have skills:  
1. Telco fraud experience
2. Bilingual (English French)
3. Experience in creation of project requirements (as it relates to fraud prevention)
