About the role: 

Client is currently looking for professionals to fill Event Coordinator positions for a 12 month contract position in 2017- 2018 located in Victoria and Duncan areas. 

There are 2 types of events that will have call-outs for shifts. The first is event execution and the second is door warming. At the event, the coordinators will speak to current and potential client's customers about our products and services. This shift will include event set-up and tear down. The second type is door warming. Door warming will include knocking on doors to deliver a gift and a message, for example, a thank you and/or did you know. Door warming makes up at least 75% of the role currently. 

This role does not include sales but an opportunity to inform the public about our products & services. 

The number of hours required per week will be dependent on event schedules, but typically varies from 0 to 20 hours per week. As location will vary per event, candidate will need to be able to have transportation to drive to different locations within their city. 

Responsibilities: 
- Attend client's events and/or door warming to deliver client's messaging and gifting

- Love to work in a team and a fast-paced environment 
- Excellent communication (written, verbal) skills 
- Desire to "roll up your sleeves" to get things done 
- Ability to travel and work unconventional hours 


Required Professional Designation/Certification: 
- High school completion 
- Some post-Secondary education (i.e. Marketing, Sales) 

Required Experience: 
- A year or two of event, sales or customer service experience

Must to have skills:
1. Excellent customer service
2. Excellent verbal communication (0utgoing people person)
3. energetic, driven

Nice to have skills:
1. Past event experience
2. Past brand ambassador or customer service experience
