Position Overview:
As the Senior Program Manager you will provide integral support to the Director, Real Estate in overseeing the program management in Ontario for our client.
This role includes management of various external resources including project related architects, engineers, designers, other consultants, and contractors. You will also be responsible for maintaining and ensuring project adherence to various our client building standards and standardized construction processes and budgets.

Responsibilities:
• Enhance and oversee the management of our client strategic program in Ontario, specifically building consolidations, integrating mobile work style and change management to support workspace of the future. Expected to be able to recommend and present requirements, expectations, ideas, analysis and concepts to a broad group of stakeholders for approval
• Management of various external resources including project related architects, engineers, designers, planning & development, legal and consultants
• Manages all program relationships and external factors impacting the program (removal of roadblocks, expectation management, etc.)
• Accountable for evaluating, planning and delivering complex strategic real estate programs, ensuring critical program deliverables are met and employs effective real estate, project and change management methodologies in managing risk and change
• Manages expectations and results for executive team and provides timely and proper status reports on all projects to the director
• Assist in preparing financial models to determine viability of strategic projects. Monitors cost, schedule, and technical performance of component projects and operations
• Negotiate transactions and variety of Real Estate opportunities with executives of Landlords, owners and developers

Required Knowledge:
• Extensive knowledge of real estate and project management processes
• Ability to interpret corporate strategies and translate them into practical project plans
• advanced project management skills in leading all aspects of project delivery including, initiation, planning and execution

Required Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to manage large complex, cross functional, national projects
• Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent oral and written communication skills in order to work with all levels of the our client team
• Strong financial acumen
• Posesses a strong network of developers and commercial real estate contacts

Required Experience:
• Minimum 7 - 10 years’ experience in the project management field with a focus on development initiatives
• 5 years of experience in multiple disciplines, construction, design and transaction management


Must have skills:
  1. Ability to manage large complex, cross functional, national projects 
  2. Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent oral and written communication skills in order to work with all levels of the TELUS team 
  3. Strong financial acumen
