Position Overview:
our client Health is looking for a highly motivated and versatile leader to join our Public Sector Portfolio within the Partners team. Acting as the Senior Project Manager and Executive Client Manager, the ideal candidate will lead a cross functional project team of technology partners, program leads, and external stakeholders to support the delivery of a complex Clinical Information System as a Service. This includes working with internal and external executive stakeholders from across a range of technical and business teams including IT infrastructure teams, business units, application vendor and customer stakeholders. The objective is to manage the activities required to complete solution development and implementation of the CIS program while maintaining a high degree of client engagement.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be directly managing the delivery of customer-specific solutions to the client. Responsibilities will include:
• Responsible and accountable for managing the client relationship at the executive level (C-level)
• Full project management of the CIS product design and delivery to the client on time and on budget with tight controls around contracted project scope
• Managing the technology partner through the planning, delivery, communications and training of the CIS product
• Coordinating the technical and business leads from across our client to align implementation timelines and delivery requirements
• Continuing strong project governance mechanisms (e.g. project charter, project plan, sign-off procedures, regular status meetings and reports, governance terms of reference)
• Implementing clear project schedules and risk logs across all of the project streams
• Producing Executive communications of project status and escalations to bring awareness and resolution of critical issues
• Facilitating internal and external meetings in the context of the delivery management

Required Knowledge:
• Knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
• Knowledge of software development processes and industry best practices
• Knowledge of clinical information systems
• Knowledge of the Canadian health industry
• General knowledge of public sector health solutions / strategies would be an asset
• Significant knowledge and application of project excellence methodologies and tools

Required Skills & Abilities:
• You have a passion for delivery and are comfortable putting together a project plan to plan the future while at the same time managing the day to day project activities
• Experience with course-correction of highly complex and challenging projects
• Experience with providing leadership and influence to cross-functional, highly matrixed project teams to support project deliverables where potential issues may arise
• Superior interpersonal, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Excellent facilitation and project coordination skills
• Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work under high pressure
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task to meet tight deadlines
• Must have strong written and spoken communication skills. (i.e. clear, thorough yet succinct communication)
• Highly disciplined at following up with issues, risks, schedule deviation, producing minutes
• Good attention to detail in plans and presentations
• Strong client facing, presentation skills
• Strong sense of appreciating and working closely with "The Team"
• Always looking for efficiencies in processes and able to make recommendations for improvements
• Expert knowledge of MS Office suite including Word, PowerPoint and Excel with capabilities to produce advanced presentations, business requirements and project documentation
• Strong knowledge of MS Project

Required Professional Designation/Certification:
• Post-secondary education in business, project management or equivalent experience
• PMP designation is highly desirable
• Working knowledge and experience in Agile project delivery methodology would be an asset

Required Experience:
• 10-15 years previous Project Management experience in an Information technology (IT) context. Previous experience in a healthcare context would be an asset.
• Experience managing client relationships at the executive level (e.g. C-level)
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional and client facing technology projects is required
• Experience leading diverse teams composed of employees and contractors


Must have skills:
