We’re looking for a Product Designer who is passionate, energetic, digital thinking, and self-driven to contribute to this vision.

 As a Product Designer, you’ll use your skills in user experience design, product design, interaction design, and visual design to create seamless UI solutions. You’ll simplify how our customers navigate our products and services by championing user needs during business and technical discussions. Additionally, you’ll leverage our current design patterns, but also produce and test new ones. You’ll be right at home collaborating in an agile environment with a top-notch team of designers, strategists, and developers.

Reporting to the Product Design Lead, you’ll split your time between product activities, including; creation of wire-frames, user flows and high-quality designs, basing your work on our design system and framework standards.

What will you do?
• Take complex design problems and deliver simple and elegant UI solutions
• Ensure consistency and alignment to digital strategy and projects
• Constantly explore ways to create a more cohesive story and enhance usability
• Develop, implement and monitor quality designs, artifacts and deliverables from beginning to end
• Work with Directors, Product Design Leads, and Practice Leads to create design systems and patterns
• Communicate with Core team, Extended team and Subject Matter Experts at key milestones
• Build a strong rapport with design team personnel, managers and stakeholders
• Participate in Design Thinking workshops

What do you need to succeed?

A product designer needs a wide range of design and creative capabilities. Ideally, these would include: 
• 3+ years experience as a UX/UI Designer, Product Designer or similar role
• Experience applying UX design best practices to create solutions and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
• A degree in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, Fine Arts, Liberal Arts, Interdisciplinary Design, Media Arts, Digital Media, Computer Science, Industrial Design or any related field
• Ability to see projects through from inception to production
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas and solutions to teams and clients
• Understanding of branding and how to design to meet brand standards 
• Motivation to maintain and improve design standards
• Knowledge of visual, typographic, grid system and interaction design disciplines and principles
• Good sense of colour, scale, harmony, balance and use of negative space
• Proficiency with leading design software tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, InVision, and Origami Studio
• General understanding of HTML/CSS (able to produce web-ready assets and designs) 
• Experience working in the Financial industry specifically with Global Asset Management is an asset
• A strong portfolio which demonstrates your problem-solving abilities, UX workflow and user interface design expertise
