Regional Market Manager – Surrey

About the role
Our client is currently looking for an experienced professional to fill a Regional Market Manager position for an initial 12 month contract position, with possibility of extension at the end of term located in Surrey, BC. The Regional Market Manager will work within a team and be responsible for executing the ground game for a local market strategy. This person will also identify and evaluate new initiatives and review existing programs required to support our client’s marketing strategies to drive penetration in the target markets. This role is unique in that there is a key component of building relationships with key stakeholders both internal and external to our client. Responsibilities:
• Execute on market strategy to increase penetration of our client products/services in target markets; be prepared to trial different approaches to uncover the optimal method
• Responsible and accountable to execute events that raise awareness, promote and generate excitement about client`s new product in community– our client led, Community led, Residential & Business. These events may take place during evenings and weekends
• Collaborate with D2D on large community events with sales opportunities
• Gather & submit intel, escalations and leads
• Provide recommendations on market opportunities
• Street team support –training, coaching, collateral delivery

About you
You are a marketing and/or sales professional looking to demonstrate your natural talent for engaging customer and promoting products, services and brand affinity. You are not afraid to try new things and are able to build a network quickly and leverage it to innovate and successfully execute on a variety of different initiatives. People would describe you as an affable and structured in your approach.

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Fluent in Mandarin is required; Cantonese is an asset • Track record of collaborations leveraging internal and external stakeholder relationships • Event execution • Strong communications skills • Customers First attitude • Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders, meet tight deadlines and tolerate ambiguity • Ability to make strategic recommendations on gap closure initiatives, secure alignment and budget • Desire to "roll up your sleeves" to get things done • Ability to travel across the city to execute events and activities within your assigned communities • Flexible in your work schedule as this role includes evenings and weekends

Required Professional Designation/Certification & Experience: • A degree or equivalent marketing and business experience is required.
• 2+ years progressive experience in Marketing, Sales and Business positions • Telecom/industry experience and exposure to a variety of marketing roles would be beneficial

Must to have skills:
1. Mandarin language; Cantonese and asset; English is clear
2. Event execution
3. Strong communication skills and customers first attitude

Nice to have skills:
1. Ability to develop strong relationships with stakeholders
2. Ability to make strategic marketing recommendations on market
