Translation Coordinator 

Position Overview 
As Translation Coordinator, you will be responsible for assessing translation requests, managing client relationships and coordinating translation projects. You will handle all aspects of translation coordination, from initial contact with the client to delivery of the final translation. 

This role requires attention to detail, great multi-tasking ability, strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work at a fast pace. We are looking for a team player with a passion for languages, meticulous eye for detail, and a disciplined approach to organization and time management. 

Key responsibilities 
• Coordinate all aspects of translation requests from initial assessment to final delivery 
• Assess translation requests for completeness, complexity and accuracy 
• Plan, schedule and monitor translation projects 
• Work closely with translators to ensure they understand the requirements, scope and priority of each translation 
• Organize and manage translation vendors when translations are done externally 
• Effectively communicate with all stakeholders and respond in a timely and professional manner to queries and requests 
• Manage tasks on a SharePoint site and organize file storage/retrieval 

Qualifications 
• Experience as a translation coordinator or a similar role in the language industry 
• Knowledge of the translation process 
• Worked in a software development environment 
• Knowledge of insurance, IT and/or healthcare industries is an asset 
• A degree in languages or translation studies is an asset
