Position Summary:
 
The RF Planning Specialist is responsible for the design and planning of wireless telecommunications networks. Responsibilities include system dimensioning for coverage and capacity including traffic analysis and coverage predictions, site identification, evaluation and acceptance of candidates, Datafills and work orders to put new cell sites On Air.
 
Continuous interaction with:
 
  • Real Estate department and their vendors for new sites candidates’ evaluation.
  • Our technology vendor for RF planning inputs and Datafill creation.
  • Other internal departments: Tx, IP Planning, UTRAN, Deployment, and Operations for Work Orders submission.
 
 
Knowledge & Educational Requirements:
 
Good communications and presentation skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated creative thinking and influence ability. Thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment.
Bachelor/Master of Science/Engineering.
 
 
Years of Experience:
 
Min 5 years in similar role
 
 
Special Skills:
 
  • Solid experience in GSM/UMTS/HSPA+/LTE RF Planning and Optimization
  • LTE RF capacity dimensioning including traffic balancing with 3G
  • Small Cells Planning and Optimization. IBS experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge in RF Planning and DT tools  (Mentum, Asset, Nemo, Actix Mapinfo)
  • Experience with Nokia networks preferred
