As a Marketing Specialist, you will be supporting a number of senior team members as we execute on exciting in-market activities that bring a different experience to the communities where we live, work, and play. You'll be part of a fast-paced team that looks to deliver results in a condensed time frame. 

What YOU Do: 
Community Strategy, Planning and Execution 
50% Events Team 
• Helping build community engagement through: 
o Creatively researching, planning and executing grassroots marketing events in select communities to help build out go to market plans. This includes: 
 Securing venues & working with key community partners to negotiate rates and terms 
 Securing local volunteers to host events 
 Creating & executing communication plans for events 
 Arranging for the shipment of event supplies 
 Managing risks related to events 
 Creating & managing budgets related to events 
 Tracking & reporting on the progress of key in-market activities 
 Taking on ad hoc requests in areas you may have little or no background in 

25% Client Street Team 
• Helping build a Brand Ambassador program across Alberta and British Columbia through: 
o Supporting the Client Street Team Senior Program Manager by evolving the current program and dive the overall vision forward. This includes: 
 Developing program communications 
 Supporting street team engagement initiatives 
 Supporting process Improvement initiatives 

25% Mall and Event Tour (MET) Team 
• Helping grow our Mall and Event Tours activation footprint across Alberta and British Columbia through: 
o Supporting Regional Field Managers by researching, planning and executing grassroots marketing events in select communities to help build out go to market plans. This includes: 
 Support Marketing Manager in expanding the Multicultural and Grocery/Retail program including searching for Multicultural events in AB and BC that align with the MET team’s objectives of driving RGUs 
 Search for events in AB and BC that align with the MET team’s objectives of driving RGUs 
 Support local RFM with event set-up/take-down, when required 

What YOU Bring: 
• Solid understanding of the services and features that Client provides to consumers customers, as well as more general insights into services we provide to small and medium business customers 
• Understanding of the processes for broadband services, from sales through to fulfillment 
• Self-starter with proven organization and time-management skills 
• Strong relationship building ability and pre-existing network (internal and external) 
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines 
• Excellent research skills and a passion for event planning 
• Good skills in Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
• Client experience focused 
• Ability to work independently or within a team 
• Ability to cope with ambiguity 
• Ability to drive to clarity, consensus and closure 
• Undergraduate degree in business an asset 
• Business analysis or project management certification an asset 
• At least one year in a high-performing, fast-paced team 

Required Experience: 
• Post-Secondary education in Marketing an asset 
• Project management experience an asset

• A university degree or the equivalent experience demonstrated by progressive responsibilities
