Our Toronto based client in the Banking/Financial is looking to hire a Sr. Support Manager for their Derivatives Development Department. As the Derivatives Support Manager, you will be responsible for the hands on support of a team of Developers and Business Analysts as they perform the day to day support of the internal systems and applications, coupled with the development of enhancements to existing and new tools. This is a key position in the Global Wholesale, Wealth, and Risk Technology - Derivatives team, responsible for servicing Global Capital Markets worldwide and delivering system solutions for the derivatives trading platform

Responsibilities: 
  • Implementation of Java services,  RESTful APIs using NoSQL databases (i.e. Cassandra)
  • Perform hands-on development as needed
  • Responsible for ensuring team code quality, unit and integration testing
  • Accountable for delivery according to pre agreed timelines and budgetary constraints
  • Assist with sprint planning and release scheduling
  • Assist with story grooming and prioritization
Hands on Requirements: 
  • Expert hands on programming skills in Java and/or C#
  • Strong data modeling skills
  • Functional experience with Agile team leadership
  • Experience managing service teams of 5+ developers
  • Experience with systems design and specification, for large scale applications
Nice to have:
  • Experience working on derivatives trading or derivatives pricing applications
