You will:
The successful candidate will have in depth knowledge of wireless technologies and specifically with an understanding of the wireless network registration/access methodologies used by handsets and other wireless devices.  The candidate will be a member of the Terminal Certification Lab and, as such, will develop, maintain and execute the test plans for WCDMA/LTE wireless devices.  He/she will also contribute to the development of processes, methodologies, testing techniques and product development. 
Responsibilities:    
• Conduct the execution of test plans technical specification regarding LTE/VoLTE Network services offered by Canadian Operators;
• Develop and evolve the test plans for technical requirements regarding VoLTE, VoWifi, RCS, SRVCC, E911, ROAM, IRAT, LBS and Audio.
• Develop and evolve the test plans pertaining to the handset client applications (e.g., SMS, MMS, Browser, UAT, VoLTE, VoWifi);
• Have knowledge of QXDM and ability to analyse QXDM logs to determine root  issues
• Contribute to the development and evolution of testing methodologies - execution, verification/validation, reporting (e.g. automation, centralized issue management);
• Contribute to the development and evolution of the processes and procedures required to integrate with multiple functional groups;
• Assist in the early evaluation of candidate handsets for suitability in entering the certification cycle;
• Stay current with wireless technologies associated with service offerings (e.g., 5G, VoLTE, VoWifi, SMS, MMS, LBS, Network Services, 911);
• Assess and prepare test materials relating to new technologies identified as necessary for implementing new service offerings proposed by the Operator;
• Operate computers, servers, test equipment, diagnosis software and test automation software, as applicable to the execution of the test plans and methodologies.
• Stay updated with wireless standards (e.g. OMA, 3GPP, etc.) regarding ROAM charge policies, wireless device releases.

Who YOU Are:
• University degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/Telecommunications;
• Experience in the wireless telecommunications industry, preferably in testing wireless devices and services.
• Knowledge of wireless network architecture and Call Flows within GSM/WCDMA/LTE.
• Knowledge of wireless access protocols, LTE/WCDMA registration process, IRAT protocals, Audio WB/NB technologies.
• Understanding of current wireless technologies, including but not limited to, VoLTE, VoWifi, LTE, ROAM, Network Selection, Network Services, LBS.
