Our Client is looking for a Process Specialist. Key responsibilities include:

Lead organizational change activities required to institutionalize process improvements. This includes providing training, identifying process improvement metrics, monitoring adoption and establishing continuous improvement reviews.

Determine the most effective approach for reaching alignment in a timely manner on contentious organizational issues impeding successful deployment of process & s/w application initiatives.

Identify and articulate key business issues requiring agreement by core team, senior management, champions (Directors) to enable a process and s/w application to be institutionalized.

Lead the identification of opportunities for improvement through various methods including: pain point analysis, cause-effect relationships, sit-ins, reporting and performance analysis (CTQs), customer/employee feedback (VoC/VoB) and financial analysis.

Lead the capture of process maps (flowcharts), systems/tools and metrics/reports documenting the existing processes; “As-Is”.  Present the "As-Is" findings, business issues and process opportunities to the Core team, Directors and VPs.
Define and make recommendations on “To-Be” or future state process improvements by facilitating workshop sessions, leveraging Lean Six Sigma and best-in-class practices and evaluating if the proposed "To-Be" solution will address the opportunities and problem statement. Facilitate sign-off of "To-Be" phase with Core team, Directors and VPs.

Capture and document process maps (flowcharts) using process modeling tool and BPMN standards.  Define business requirements (BRD) and policies.

Provide input on s/w application design reviews ensuring alignment to “To-Be” process and business requirements.  Liaison directly with OSS/IT (s/w developers) and the business clients

Lead the definition of test cases, validate business functionality and the overall solution delivery, and be directly involved in application test process.

Lead process trials to verify "To-Be" solution. Create and deliver training and define overall deployment strategy.

Lead definition of metrics and create KPI mock-ups for on-going monitoring and actionable performance improvement

Manage and implement projects through working with people who are not direct reports which include Core team (managers and SMEs), Champion & Stakeholders (Directors) and Sponsor (VP).

Manage project schedule, scope, resources and quality.  Communicate project status and issues, manage action and risk registers and escalate project issues to Champion, Stakeholders and Sponsor for resolution.

Learn and understand the tools and s/w applications which support the business process within the Networks Organization.


Undergraduate University degree (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.). Preferred focus in Process Engineering

Professional certifications: Prefer Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt

More than 8 years of progressive experience in Process Improvement and Project Management; PMI certification an asset

Experience leading LSS projects at Green Belt level with considerable cost savings

Superior statistical analysis, analytical and critical thinking skills

Advanced communication, consensus building, presentation and writing skills

Able to influence and negotiate at both core team and executive levels (Director & VP) to achieve process improvements and adoption

Strong customer focus and sensitivity to customer needs

Familiar with process mapping and experience in iGrafx process modeling an asset

Able to provide training on solution and improvements with impacted staff

Energetic self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, ever changing environment

Familiarity with ITIL, eTOM or COBIT an asset
