Typical Responsibilities
•             Gathers and documents internal and external business user and functional specification requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, site visits, and task and workflow analysis in highly complex environments.
•             Proactively engage business partners to jointly develop and maintain technology roadmaps and communicate funding and approval status, implementation schedules and actions to mitigate constraints and issues.
•             Works with the architecture team and business primes to ensure roadmap alignment.
•             Liaise between delivery, Infrastructure, project management, subject matter experts, end users, executives and engagement management teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
•             Lead proposed technology decisions during conceptual phases and represent business partner’s requirements from project inception to delivery.
•             Gather RFx requirements from business and technology teams and coordinate RFx procurement processes for portfolio technology solutions.
•             Collaborate with BA/BSA to refine functional and non-functional requirements.
•             Create proposed solution documentation that is aligned with SDLC, roadmap and budget.
•             Review and approve (when empowered) project artifacts, verifying they meet all functional and non-functional requirements and are aligned with SDLC, roadmap and budget.
•             Ensures projects align with the business and ITS strategies, contributing to the development of plans and processes in supported organizations and business unit level.
•             Manage new ideas/initiatives funnel by collaborating with business partners and development teams, identifying opportunities to grow the business through an innovative and effective use of technology and by evaluating technologies via hands-on testing/demos in Retail Innovation Lab.
•             Coordinate team efforts to resolve complex issues and conflicts and escalate to executive level wherever required.
•             Identifies and highlights problem areas, gaps or conflicts derived from information gathered and proposes options for resolution.
•             Refines requirements using critical evaluation techniques, focus groups, meetings, negotiation, systems knowledge and experience.
•             Prepares documentation on expected benefits, use cases, current/proposed process, workflows, data flows, process re-engineering studies, functional specifications, risk integration, end-user adoption plans/ guides and organization structures.
•             Organizes assumptions, suggests additions and deletions and probes for refined data.
•             Provides validation of testing; develops and conducts large group training.
•             Identifies and highlights problem areas, gaps or conflicts derived from information gathered and proposes options for resolution, ensuring proposed system development or business process solutions.
•             Oversees the technical design, development and implementation of multiple, complex, corporate-wide systems
•             Ensures projects align with the business and ITS strategies, contributing to the development of plans and processes in supported organizations and business unit level.
•             Understands and supports industry trends and contributes to the development of best practices for the clients business and for areas of domain expertise.
•             Any other functions or duties as required in Retail and Supply chain IT to affectively support the business.
