Job Description:
Our client is looking for a dynamic resource from Digital, CRM or Contact Centre Application Services, and the resource will be responsible for planning, managing, and implementing Agile projects within the digital portfolio to help support client’s digital strategy.
 
This role is to lead the delivery and execution of Agile based projects, and to provide direct coaching and support to the project team members in using the new approach.
 
Responsibilities include:
 
  • Accountable for all phases of IT application programs and projects from initiation to closure and ensures that best practice standards and processes set out by client’s PMOs and other industry organizations, including PMI, are leveraged.
  • Execute project / program delivery using Agile methodologies using influence to facilitate to outcomes.
  • Facilitate and engage in business analysis, user experience and technical conversations across platforms and multiple levels of influence.
  • Proactive in providing Agile coaching to the team and recommending continuous improvement of processes to optimize team productivity.
  • Know and use the politics and culture of the organization and is able to use this knowledge to influence others and implement objectives.
  • Create plans for complex programs or projects with many interrelated paths, involving multiple organizational units, multiple delivery models and challenging deadlines. Ensure program structure effectively and efficiently controls the various projects within the program (e.g. planning, scope, dependencies).
  • Establish the process for defining, developing, verifying, reviewing and managing changes to the program requirements.
 
Expertise Required:
 
  • Experience with transformation or adoption to Agile Methodology (delivery of functional release, low upfront design effort, daily updates, incremental architecture, and parallel coding/testing/analysis documentation).
  • Ability to effectively manage projects and programs in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to positively motivate project teams to meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Understands the concept of capitalization and can represent it correctly in budgets.
  • Can effectively analyze program expense trends and understands the impact on projected spend. Has demonstrated the ability to successfully intervene to add control on overdue or troubled IT projects.
 
Preferred:
  • University degree (Software Engineer, Computer Sciences, etc.), college diploma or appropriate experience in lieu of.
  • Certification – PMP, PMI-ACP, PSM or CSM, SAFe an asset.
  • Program management experience in the insurance industry or finance industry.
